Who's In So Far
RoswellMouse wrote: I meant to do this when we got the forum back up, but RL has been extremely busy. Rather than type out everything we know here, i'm going to direct all of you to the Actors section on the site. We try to update it whenever we get any kind of new news regarding this subject, so everything you see is everything we know to date. :toothy7: http://roswellmovie.net/actors.html While you're on the site, make sure you check out the Melinda Metz and Shiri Appleby interviews. They were both done a few months ago exclusively for RoswellMovie.net. :director2: Melinda  http://roswellmovie.net/MelindaMetz.html Shiri  http://roswellmovie.net/Interviews.html

(please realize that Shiri wouldn't know what was going on with this, and even if there isn't a movie in the works now, that doesn't mean we don't stand a chance of getting one. That's what we're here for, after all. ;) ) Appleby Talks Roswell DVDs Shiri Appleby, who starred as Liz Parker in TV's Roswell, told SCI FI Wire that the upcoming third-season DVD release includes a featurette of her in Japan promoting the last DVD box set. "There is a little featurette of when I went to Tokyo to promote the second-season DVD," Appleby said in an interview. "It's a little bit of a Lost in Translation, you know, me in Tokyo with Roswell fans." The third and final season of Roswell, which hits stores on Aug. 9, wraps up the teen alien series, which ran on The WB and UPN from 1999-2002. In that final year on UPN, the show underwent major changes, Appleby said. "When we went over to the UPN in the third season, the writers, I think, had a liberty to try a lot," Appleby said. "The writers had the opportunity to sort of shake the show up. ... The season starts off with Liz and Max rebelling, holding up a liquor store. Just doing things that you would have never assumed the first season that they would have done. You know, having Isabel get married. ... They just really went for things, the twists and turns, I would say, in the third season." Appleby said that she still remans friendly with some of her castmates, including Colin Hanks (Alex) and Majandra Delfino (Maria). Since Roswell, Appleby has appeared in films (Swimfan), TV films (ABC Family's Pizza My Heart) and SCI FI Channel's original movie Darklight. But Appleby doubted that Roswell will ever be resurrected. "People ask about it all the time, but I've never heard anything real or concrete that we'd be actually making a movie," she said. "I mean, I think it sounds like a really great idea, but I don't know if there's any plans in the works."

 Don't be sad. Reread what she says at the end - 'People ask about it all the time,' - That's a good sign that people are out there and interested enough to ask about it. 'I mean, I think it sounds like a really great idea,' - This shows that she likes the idea, and she did say she would be in the movie (see her interview that we did here) if the script was good enough and Roswell still had a story to tell. You can see the interview here. 'but I don't know if there's any plans in the works.' - She doesn't know of any plans for the works, not that there isn't any chance of one, just not anything pending right now.

I know he was joking but from that and how he talks about the show in the commentaries - he had heaps more ideas about where it could go - he doesn't much need to be convinced about a movie. I don't know, it just gave me hope that's all.

Don't forget to keep sending in your snail mail! Hands on evidence for Katims, Fox and Frakes can make all the difference!

A guest wrote: There has been a lot of rumour over the Roswell Movie. Do you think that if it did get made would you play Maria again? I would absolutely play Maria again with so much pleasure. Believe me, the Roswell movie would never be held back on account of me or David Nutter. If he's there, so am I. this comes from majandra`s site :D

RoswellMouse wrote: I'm pretty sure that was from her site. She's been amazing. So has Shiri, really. Shoot, at this point, with all we've done for the past three years, all of them have pretty much been cool with us. The trick is getting Fox and the creators to back the movie financially. :) I really think the cast would all come back. I can't promise that of course. Just a hunch.

OnceUpon- 04-13-2007

:D Do you think a solid week of cards to Fox in May would be a good idea, a blitz on the others but one specifically on Fox

roswellbrat- 04-13-2007

Right now we don't really have a Fox address. Katim's assistant used to get them to the right Fox person and since we have to send his stuff through Fox it may become a bit confusing.

OnceUpon- 04-14-2007

:o I wonder how we can get a Fox address to send them to. Fox is the one that has the series and rights, aren't they the ones that can decide for a movie, Katim and the others can convince but ultimately it is Fox, right :?: :?:

Rania Behr- 04-20-2007

I think you are right. I cannnot really imagine how. Or we send to the headquarters c/o Roswell Movie Project Manager. What do you think?

roswellbrat- 04-20-2007

Fox does have the rights, but the company is so large and without having a direct contact there what we send would probably either end up in their dead letter office or back in your mailbox as undeliverable. We can't send it c/o the Roswell Movie Project Manager because there is no such person. Sorry. That's why Katim's and Frakes are our best bets for now.
